I have a love-hate relationship with meal planning. I do love pouring over new recipes – or anticipating family favorites. I even enjoy making the shopping lists. But I don’t particularly like grocery shopping, I hate unpacking and putting groceries away, and I hate how much time it all takes. But it gets quicker with practice – and the payoff makes it all worthwhile. I am not one of those militant 21 Day Fixers that put a weeks worth of perfectly portioned foods in the fridge ready to go. I sometimes envy the discipline these people have – but the truth is I don’t have that much room in my fridge, and I really like my food freshly packed for the day. So I concentrate on having a weeks worth of food planned – and then each day I decide what deliciousness we will have.
